If you are a cycling enthusiast, you can explore the wider area of the Municipality of South Kynouria, through cycling routes, MTB or Touring, which pass through traditional and historical settlements, protected areas of nature (Natura 2000) and archaeological monuments. Below you can see some indicative suggestions of cycling routes
Π1. Poulithra - Plaka - Leonidio
It is an easy cycling route, with very small differences in altitude. For many residents and visitors, it is a daily pedestrian route to Plaka, which runs parallel to the coastline of the bay overlooking the settlement of Poulithra. In Plaka, apart from the traditional harbour with its picturesque shops, you can visit the archaeological site/settlement of Ancient Prasias, relics of which are still preserved today. The route ends at the "head village" of the municipality, Leonidio, a designated historical and traditional settlement and a world-class climbing destination.

Π2. Leonidio - Cosmas
The route starts from Leonidio and passes through the gorge of Dafnonas, through the diverse vegetation and towering wild rocks to reach the traditional settlement of Kosmas, the balcony of Kynouria, at an altitude of 1068 meters. It is worth mentioning that the route crosses entirely in the Natura 2000 area: GR2520005 MONI ELONAS KAI CHARADRA LEONIDIOU - SPILAIO MANA KAI GALAZIA LIMNI. It is a quite demanding cycling route, with a maximum elevation of 1322 meters! On the contrary, the "up to down" route is quite easy and pleasant. It is recommended to stop/visit the imposing and majestic monastery of Panagia Elona, which is located almost in the middle of the route and at an altitude of 650 meters.

Π3. Cosmas - Poulithra
For MTB lovers, this easy route, starting from Kosmas, passes through the chestnut forest of Kosmas, Vlisidia and ends at Poulithra. Most of the route is dirt road (~95%), with small sections of asphalt. In contrast, the "bottom-up" approach to the route is quite difficult and demanding.

Π4. Santa Claus - Platanaki
The route starts through the picturesque mountainous settlement of South Kynouria, Agios Vasilis and through a lush route, which is entirely located in a protected Natura 2000 area: GR2520006 OROS PARNONAS (AND PERIOCHI MALEVIS), ends in the settlement of Platanaki. The route is dirt and quite demanding, with a total altitude of ~1000m and a length of 24km. It can also be circular.

Π5. Cosmas - Platanaki – Santa Claus - Paleochori
The route starts through the picturesque mountainous settlement of South Kynouria, Kosmas at an altitude of 1100m., passes through the chestnut forest of Kosmas and through a lush route that encircles the Rachi Psarri (2nd peak of Parnonas), passes through the guerrilla villages Platanaki, Agios Vasilis and ends in the picturesque settlement of Paleochori. The route is entirely on asphalt and of moderate difficulty (demanding), with a total ascent of ~800m and a length of 30km. The total elevation loss/descent is 1160m!! Also, the route may be shorter in length and difficulty, bypassing the settlement of Platanaki and Agios Vasilis.
